In 2024, CLU expanded its partner network, introduced new initiatives, and deepened its impact in key industries. From supporting first-generation and military-affiliated students to launching workforce-driven programs, we continue to strengthen pathways for career advancement and impactful leadership.
Expanding Our Partner Network
CLU welcomed 17 new partners in 2024, reinforcing our mission to empower students to lead with purpose. These organizations share our commitment to ethical leadership and are actively shaping the next generation of changemakers.
Better Serving Those Who Serve
To better support military personnel and their families, CLU launched a dedicated military resources webpage providing:
- Academic program guidance
- Financial aid options & military-friendly benefits
Through partnerships with military-serving organizations, we help service members maximize training credits and transition into civilian careers with confidence.
Strengthening Support for First-Generation Students
As a recognized First-Gen Supporter institution, CLU is dedicated to bridging the gap for first-generation students by offering:
- Scholarships & financial aid guidance
- Academic resources
- A supportive student community for networking & professional growth
We are committed to equipping first-generation students with the tools they need to thrive in the classroom and beyond.
A Bachelor’s Degree Designed for Police Officers
CLU’s Integrated Policing Studies concentration is designed for modern law enforcement professionals, providing:
- Leadership & critical thinking skills
- Online flexibility & prior learning credit options
- Courses that help officers navigate today’s challenges with confidence
In 2024, CLU partnered with police departments across Southern California to highlight how this program supports career advancement and ethical leadership in policing.
Lincoln Vibrant Communities: Driving Civic Engagement
In collaboration with the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, CLU launched Lincoln Vibrant Communities, a program designed to empower public service leaders.
- Fellows Program: 150+ leaders from across the U.S., including Washington D.C. & Puerto Rico, participated in a six-month hybrid leadership program.
- Teams Program: Five Southern California teams, all CLU partners, are working collaboratively to solve public sector challenges with innovative solutions.
