Position Title: Vice President for Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer

The mission of Claremont Lincoln University is to be a place where students learn how to treat others as they would like to be treated. Students learn the skills necessary to understand differences among religions, governments, other organizations, and individuals; how to respect those differences; and how to cooperate and collaborate with those of different viewpoints to resolve problems between them peacefully without violence. POSITION DESCRIPTION

Claremont Lincoln University is seeking a highly talented and motivated individual interested in
a transformational leadership opportunity as its Vice President for Academic Affairs/Chief
Academic Officer (VPAA/CAO). Reporting directly to the President, the successful candidate
will play an instrumental role as a leader at an important stage in this University’s history and
development.

The VPAA/CAO joins an experienced and cohesive leadership team and works
closely with the President, the Board of Directors, dean(s), senior administrators, faculty, staff
and students to continue the University’s rise among the most innovate online graduate
universities.

Important attributes desired by staff, leaders, and faculty of the incoming
VPAA/CAO include a leader who is a true collaborator, as well as open, innovative, and
transparent. Candidates should have broad experience, believe in non-traditional students and the
scholar-practitioner model, and resonate with CLU’s focus on socially conscious programs, the
distinctiveness of the Claremont Core®, and a mission and culture grounded in the Golden Rule.
