THE POSITION:
The Faculty Chair position is a conditional, ideally on-site, one-year appointment to provide programmatic oversight of the Master in Sustainability Leadership and reports directly to the Dean of Organizational Leadership. This is a part-time assignment that requires approximately 20 hours of engagement per week and, therefore, Faculty Chairs are not eligible for institutional benefits, including employersubsidized health insurance and retirement. The primary responsibilities of this position are to: develop and/or revise courses in the program; assess faculty performance and participation each week; communicate with faculty positives and areas to improve based on OAA faculty expectations and activity analytics; teach two terms per 12month period; complete pre-term audit and checklist for all courses running within that term; organize and facilitate a faculty meeting each month; attend administrative and departmental meetings each month; recruit and manage a pool of diverse faculty and design a faculty teaching rotation schedule; actively participate in student recruitment so as to reach enrollment goals established by Program Dean; collaborate with faculty to develop specific content, webinars, and/or podcasts, website, and marketing; provide capstone mentorship to students; and participate in on campus activities as requested.
