WSCUC accredits degree-granting post-secondary educational institutions throughout California, Hawaii, and the Pacific as well as a limited number of institutions outside the United States. WSCUC is one of seven institutional accrediting agencies formerly known as “regional accreditors” approved by the US Department of Education and a member of Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). The Commission encourages continual institutional improvement and assures the membership and its constituencies, including the public, that accredited institutions are fulfilling their missions in service to their students and the public good.
